Tustin’s Grace Signs Contract With Cubs
Former Tustin High School baseball player Mark Grace has signed a professional contract with the Chicago Cubs and will report to the team’s instructional league team in Mesa, Ariz., next month.
Grace, 21, played first base for San Diego State last season and recently competed in the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kan. He led the Alaskan summer baseball league with 49 runs batted in and hit .360 for the champion North Pole Nicks.
