Nonviolence Urged in Resolving Conflicts

LONDON — An international peace assembly of the World Methodist Council says, “We see a time coming when people accept nonviolence as the only way for states to resolve their conflicts.”
In a resolution, the assembly said nonviolence methods offer “new ways of releasing the power to struggle for justice, freedom and peace. By working for nonviolence solutions Christians could lead the world from terrorism and war to peace.”
