Repairs on Airport Runways: Fullerton Municipal Airport will be closed to takeoffs and landings for four nights, beginning tonight, as workers complete a major runway improvement project. To minimize inconvenience to pilots, workers will repair cracks, potholes and pour a two-inch asphalt cap over the length of the runway between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. today through Thursday. The $187,038 project, 90% of which is financed through a grant from the state Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics, is the first major work done on the runway since the early 1960s, city officials said.
