OLIVER REED WEDS; 5-YEAR COURTSHIP

EPSOM, England — Actor Oliver Reed has married a woman he has dated since she was a schoolgirl.

Reed, 46, and Josephine Burge, 21, were married in a 10-minute civil ceremony in Epsom just outside London. They began dating five years ago when Burge was 16.

“My marriage has been the roundup of a wonderful five years if you think about it, because the press were a little critical about it--this has proved some of the cynics wrong,” Reed told reporters.
