A federal jury Thursday convicted a Pittsburgh-area accountant and part-time disc jockey on 7 of 13 charges of selling cocaine to former Pittsburgh Pirates Dale Berra and John Milner.

Robert McCue, 39, was the second Pennsylvania man in less than a week to be found guilty of selling drugs to major league baseball players. McCue faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in jail and a $25,000 fine on each of the seven counts.

McCue’s conviction came six days after another jury, meeting in the same federal courthouse, found former Philadelphia Phillies clubhouse caterer Curtis Strong guilty on 11 of 13 counts of selling cocaine to some of baseball’s best-known players.

McCue, one of seven men indicted May 31 by a federal grand jury on charges of distributing drugs to players, was found guilty on three of four charges involving Berra and four of the nine counts relating to Milner, who retired in 1983 after playing for three teams in 12 seasons.
