Policer Officer Cut as Street Scene Closes

A female police officer was cut on the arm when a series of disturbances broke out in the closing hours of the Street Scene Sunday night, authorities said.

Witnesses said the incident occurred across from the Spring Street steps of City Hall as a musical event closed down and a series of rock and bottle throwing incidents broke out.

Fellow police officers would not immediately say if a suspect had been captured in connection with the officer’s injury or whether she was hospitalized.
