Mission Viejo : Crash Kills Woman, Injures Her Husband
A young Laguna Hills woman was killed and her husband seriously injured early Sunday when the car he was driving crashed into the rear of a parked tractor-trailer in the Mission Viejo area, the California Highway Patrol said.
Kerry B. McDermott, 20, was pronounced dead at Mission Community Hospital, officers said. Her husband, David C. McDermott, 20, was taken to the same hospital and reported in critical condition.
The CHP said David McDermott was driving west on Los Alisos Boulevard, near Via Noveno, about 1:20 a.m. Sunday when his vehicle struck the tractor-trailer.
