Buena Park police were negotiating late into the night with a man who threatened to blow up his house after a fire inspector ordered him to clean up fire hazards there. Ronald Chavez, 38, barricaded himself and his girlfriend in the house at 7454 McNeil Lane after threatening a Buena Park fire inspector at gunpoint and seizing his badge and identification, police said. Chavez had been cited two weeks earlier for trash and old furniture that fire officials said were fire hazards.
