Fullerton : Chino Man Arrested in Attempt to Shoot Wife
A Chino man who reportedly threatened to kill himself was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Wednesday just hours after his wife was shot at while standing in a municipal parking lot in Fullerton, police said.
Mike Stout, 40, who was arrested while visiting a friend in Placentia, was being held without bail Thursday in Fullerton City Jail, police said.
His wife, Jody, said she was shot at from a passing car as she stood in the parking lot in the 100 block of Harbor Boulevard.
Placentia Police Sgt. Ken Rowly said that Stout was arrested at 2200 Cartlen St. after another person in the house called police and said that Stout had threatened to commit suicide.
A pistol found in the house was turned over to Fullerton police, Rowly said.
