College Basketball Roundup : Walker Gets 33; Kentucky Rolls Past Hawaii, 98-65
All-American Kenny Walker scored 33 points and pulled down 10 rebounds Wednesday night at Honolulu to lead 10th-ranked Kentucky to a 98-65 basketball victory over Hawaii.
Walker connected on 12 of 21 shots and 9 of 10 free throws.
“Actually, I was pleased with the job our center, (Rick) Domonkos did on him,” Hawaii Coach Frank Arnold said. “Nobody is going to defense Kenny Walker one-on-one. I put a 6-4 forward on him and every time I looked up, he was two feet above us.
“The kid is like a greyhound. I bet there isn’t 5% body fat on the guy. He’s strong, fast, rebounds, shoots and works so well without the ball.”
Walker’s 22 points propelled the Wildcats (3-0) into a 49-31 halftime lead. Kentucky gradually expanded its margin the rest of the way.
Guard Ed Davender added 20 points for the Wildcats, and James Blackmon had 11.
Andre Morgan led Hawaii (1-1) with 23 points, while Rick Domonkos had 10.
Georgetown 91, Hawaii Hilo 57--Reggie Williams scored 24 points, and David Wingate added 18 as the eighth-ranked Hoyas coasted past the Vulcans at Hilo, Hawaii.

Georgetown had a 50-32 rebounding edge, and their full-court pressure defense forced the Vulcans into 21 turnovers.
Williams scored 19 points as Georgetown built a 46-25 halftime advantage.
Texas A&M; 86, Stephen F. Austin 73--Don Marbury scored 35 points as the Aggies turned back the Lumberjacks at College Station, Tex.
Marbury made 15 of 18 shots, including nine straight as the Aggies built a 43-32 halftime lead.
The 6-3 guard, who made most of his shots from the 8- to 10-foot range, also had five steals and seven assists.
