City of Hope Executive Director Ben Horowitz will be stepping down to assume other duties at the medical center and research institute as of Jan. 1, City of Hope President Abraham S. Bolsky announced. Horowitz has been with the organization for 40 years--32 years as executive director--and is credited for much of its transformation from a small tuberculosis hospital to the internationally renowned medical and research center it is today. Horowitz will become general vice president of the parent organization and president of the board of directors of its affiliated national medical center.
