We took Jerry Hulse’s recommendation and spent a wonderful and relaxing weekend at La Mer European Bed and Breakfast in Ventura. Total of five rooms, each individually decorated to capture the feeling of a specific country in Europe. Price $55-$80 includes scrumptious breakfast, but the best part was the wonderful hospitality of the owners, Gisela and Mike, and their dog, Gigi. BONNIE ANN BAKER Santa Ana
