Thirteen original animated drawings were returned to the Disney studios in Burbank after the person who had taken them apparently had a change of heart, a Disney spokesman said. The drawings, called cels, were delivered to Disney Productions Vice President Erwin Okun, Christmas gift-wrapped and with a note of apology. The stolen material, valued at $65,000 but considered priceless by the studio, included drawings used in most of the Disney animated feature classics such as “Snow White,” “Pinocchio,” “Dumbo,” “The Sword in the Stone” and “101 Dalmations,” now in re-release. An investigation into the theft is continuing.
