Shotgun Wedding Wins La Centinela Stakes

Shotgun Wedding rallied strongly in the final furlong Wednesday and won the $81,550 La Centinela Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Chris McCarron, Shotgun Wedding finished 1 1/2 lengths in front of Fashion Book, ridden by Antonio Castanon. The 9-5 favorite, Silent Arrival, ridden by Laffit Pincay, was third.

The winner was timed in 1:37 3/5 for the mile and paid $7.60, $4.60 and $3.20. Fashion Book returned $11 and $4.20; Silent Arrival paid $2.80 to show.
