Mission Insurance plans to resist Chapter 11.
The ailing Los Angeles-based insurance firm said it will object to a petition filed earlier this week by four creditors seeking to force it into Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Mission also said it will soon file documents with the SEC concerning its proposed debt restructuring, under which certain public debt holders, including the four petitioners, will be offered new debt issues with lower face value along with equity securities of Mission.
