Rock Hudson’s N.Y. Apartment Sold for $2 Million
A judge approved the $2-million sale of Rock Hudson’s apartment overlooking New York’s Central Park on Thursday, the first liquidation of the late actor’s real estate.
The apartment became the property of Drake Darrin, 26, when Superior Court Judge Robert Blaylock signed the agreement.
“It makes a great bachelor pad,” Darrin said.
Hudson’s estate attorney, Earl Bender, said proceeds of the sale will eventually go to a trust set up by Hudson 11 years before his death. Bender said the apartment was the first of Hudson’s real estate to be sold after the actor’s death from complications of acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
