Berry Leads San Jose State Past Long Beach
Ricky Berry scored 18 points and Reggie Owens added 14 Monday night to lead San Jose State to a 72-62 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. victory over Cal State Long Beach in the 49ers’ Gym.
The Spartans (3-4 in the PCAA, 10-6 overall) trailed 36-32 at halftime, but took a 43-42 lead on a three-point basket by Anthony Perry with 13:01 remaining.
Long Beach (1-5, 5-12) was within 58-57 following a three-point shot by Reggie Wallace with 5:01 left.
