David Mauss, 42, of Hacienda Heights, has been appointed president of PacifiCare of California, a Cypress-based health maintenance organization, in a move to expand the management team of the HMO’s holding company, PacifiCare Health Systems, and its four HMO subsidiaries. Terry Hartshorn, 39, of Fountain Valley, president and chief executive officer of the parent company, relinquished his role as president of the California HMO to concentrate on adding new programs and new HMOs nationwide.
