“Who’s on First.” Metacom. There are several old radio shows on audiotape--some worthwhile, some not. This is a goody: a 1946 NBC “Abbott & Costello Show” entirely built around the subject (baseball) of the comic duo’s famous “who’s on first” routine. A terrific version of it ends the half-hour, and Bud Abbott-Lou Costello fans will delight in the baseball-oriented patter that precedes it. See, Lou claims he’s supposed to take Joe DiMaggio’s place on the Yankees, and when Bud mentions (pitcher) Bob Feller, Lou wants to know “what feller?” and . . . well, listen for yourself. 1/2
