Advisory Panel Picks Chairman: Fullerton Mayor Pro Tem Richard C. Ackerman has been elected to a one-year term as chairman of the county Waste and Hazardous Materials Management Advisory Commission. The 19-member commission is an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors on matters relating to waste, including future landfill sites and operation and expansion of landfills, transfer stations and other facilities used in waste collection and disposal. Ackerman has served on the commission since it was formed in 1982. He also has served a previous term as vice chairman of the commission.
