It’s Still Mater Dei at Top of Rankings
Mater Dei High School, riding the crest of a 48-game winning streak, remained the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep basketball poll.
The Monarchs are 19-0 and moving closer to their fourth straight Angelus League title. Capistrano Valley and Ocean View also remained second and third in the poll.
El Dorado dropped from fourth to seventh following a 70-62 loss to Katella while Santa Ana makes its first appearance at 10th, replacing Woodbridge.
