Work Under Way on Retirement Project in Hemet
Construction has begun on Villa del Rey, an $8-million, 148-room retirement housing facility in Hemet.
The M. D. Janes Co. is building the project on the south side of Johnston Avenue between State and Gilbert streets. Completion is scheduled for the fall.
Wedgwood Retirement Inns Inc. of Vancouver, Wash., has been retained to manage the development, which will include a communal dining room, commercial kitchen, beauty salon, billiards, exercise and recreation rooms; chapel and several laundries in addition to the private rooms.
