Cleaning Firm Worker Dies in Carrier Mishap
A 31-year-old employee of a cleaning company died Friday when he fell about 40 feet into an open tank aboard the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk at North Island Naval Air Station.
Dead is Alfredo Tovar, who lived on the 1500 block of C Street in National City. Tovar, an employee of Universal Cleaning Service, was cleaning large tanks on the carrier when he apparently tripped and fell, a coroner’s office spokesman said.
