Authorities searched for a fisherman believed to have fallen overboard into the waters of Santa Monica Bay. Two Coast Guard cutters and a helicopter participated in the search for signs of the fisherman, whose 13-foot inflatable boat was spotted adrift about 200 yards off Redondo Beach, Petty Officer Steve Jones said. The boat was found, with its engine still running, off the shoreline by county lifeguards. Lifeguard Randy Degregori said the small boat “had a fishing rod with its line still in the water, and was carrying some video equipment.” Also found aboard were a fishing license and a citation for a minor marine violation, dated Jan. 19. Lifeguards withheld the name on the documents.
