Luis Sanchez, former Angel relief pitcher, has been placed on waivers by the Montreal Expos for the purpose of selling his contract to the Yomiuri Giants of the Japanese League.
Sanchez, 32, was acquired by the Expos along with catcher Tim Arnold in December for pitcher Gary Lucas.
