CLAYMATION FILM AT SHOW
LA JOLLA — Those attending the Festival of Animation Saturday at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art will have a chance to catch some clips of a new “claymation” film, “The Adventures of Mark Twain.”
Claymation, which uses clay figures rather than drawings for animation, will be the topic of a talk by Marilyn Zornado and animator Joan Gratz, who work with the movie’s director, Will Vinton.
“The Adventures of Mark Twain,” a feature-length animation, is a about Mark Twain and a rendezvous with Halley’s comet. Riding with Twain in a fantastic spacecraft are Huckleberry Finn and Becky Thatcher. The animation festival has been extended through March 2.
