Sheriff’s homicide deputies are searching for clues to the identity of a woman whose skeleton was found Sunday at the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation on Camino San Ignacio, in North County.
The skeleton, whose hands and feet were bound, was found at 2:30 p.m. by a couple walking their dog near a campground at the Indian reservation, near Warner Springs, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department said.
The woman had been dead about two weeks and was apparently dumped at the reservation after being killed elsewhere, the spokesman said.
The woman, between 20 and 40 years old, was Caucasian, 5-foot-6, possibly with brown eyes and long brown hair, the spokesman said.
She was wearing blue jeans and a gray and blue sweater, the spokesman said.
The county coroner has not been able to determine the cause of death, the spokesman said.
