Dearing Elected Leader of Right-of-Way Group
H. J. (Skip) Dearing, a principal real estate representative for the Metropolitan Water District, has been elected president of Los Angeles Chapter No. 1, International Right of Way Assn., succeeding Robert A. Martin Jr. of Ramco Consultants.
Other new officers are E. (Ray) Jackson, Union Oil Co., president-elect; Paul Widrig, city of Los Angeles, first vice president; Gary L. Peck, Southern California Edison Co., secretary-treasurer; Kathryn L. Friedman, Los Angeles Unified School District, second vice president, and Sandra J. Briggs, Ramco consultants, assistant secretary.
Committee heads who are also on the board of directors are Joseph S. Atwell, Conrad N. Barber, Patrick D. Bradley, David F. Brown Jr., Len A. Corwin, Andrew J. Demetriou, Friedman, MyrthaF. Hammer, Robert A. Martin Jr., Sharon O’Rourke, Carroll Ritchie, James M. Rushing, Gordon D. Stewart, Roy L. Stover Jr., Richard F. Triggiani and Don W. Zimmerman. Martin remains on the board as an international director.
The International Right of Way Assn. has about 9,000 members in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and Puerto Rico. The membership consists of appraisers, attorneys, engineers, negotiators, property managers, title examiners and others.
