The San Francisco Giants’ drug-testing policy for players appears to be colliding with a San Francisco ordinance that prohibits employers in the city from testing their workers for drugs.

Supervisor Bill Maher, author of the ordinance, and Supervisor Quentin Kopp, who voted against it, both say the Giants are like any other corporation in the city and must abide by the law.
