Waters Named President of ComputerLand
ComputerLand Corp., which late last year underwent a management restructuring, named Kenneth R. Waters president and chief operating officer.
Waters, 34, had been executive vice president of ComputerLand since October and a director since December. He joined the company in July, 1978, as assistant general counsel.
Ed Faber, 53, will continue as chairman and chief executive, relinquishing the job of president to Waters.
“This move formally acknowledges the role Ken Waters has played during the past six months of rapid and significant changes at ComputerLand,” Faber said.
Faber said that he will remain “deeply involved” in major operational decisions, strategic planning and corporate policy, but that Waters will manage all aspects of daily operations.
