Koboway Inc., a Costa Mesa maker of printed circuit boards, said Tuesday that talks concerning the potential sale of the company to a Minneapolis firm have been suspended indefinitely. No reason was given.
Late last year, Sheldahl Inc. started discussing a potential acquisition of Koboway with its 72-year-old founder, Paul Ketchum, who controls about 90% of the privately held company’s stock. Sheldahl, which had sales of $59 million in its 1985 fiscal year, makes circuits and related products for computers and other office equipment.
The earlier talks called for Koboway, which had sales of $12 million in its 1985 fiscal year, to become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sheldahl. Financial terms of the deal were never disclosed.
