Myron Cohen

I lost a longtime, good friend. He was a friend with whom I had never talked, broke bread or sat with at baseball, fishing or TV. He never sent me a birthday card or a tie, but he gave me some of the most enjoyable moments of my life. He was never, personally, in our home, but he will live in our hearts and minds long after the date of his death is forgotten. I will miss him.

One of the penalties of a long life is watching helplessly as beautiful friendships slip away, never to be replaced.

Myron Cohen died at a Rockland County Hospital in New York of heart complications. He was 83.

I think that he was the greatest dialect story teller the world has ever known.

I will miss him.
