Seal Beach : Police Stop Car, Find $70,000 Worth of Drugs
Police who stopped a car weaving on Pacific Coast Highway seized about $70,000 in drugs, authorities said Saturday.
Police said that Officer Charles Castagna spotted the car north of 1st Street early Friday morning. Castagna stopped the driver and radioed for a police records check. The check revealed that the driver had an outstanding warrant for narcotics sale, police said.
Officers searched the car and found 688 grams of cocaine and 450 grams of marijuana. Ronald Bruce Bennett, 32, of La Puente was booked on suspicion of transporting and possessing narcotics for sale, police said.
