A 2-day-old boy was in guarded condition at California Hospital Medical Center after being found locked in the trunk of an automobile parked on USC’s fraternity row. A passerby called police after hearing the infant’s cries and tracing them to the car. Officers pried the trunk open and took the baby to the hospital, where he was treated for dehydration and subnormal body temperature. Nurses said the child weighed six pounds, six ounces and had blue eyes. Police were searching for the parents.
