A man accused of firing more than 40 rounds at police officers said he and his 16-year-old female companion were fleeing two drug dealers. The incident occurred on Highway 101 at Burlingame near San Francisco. Lewis Sebourn, 23, and the unidentified girl were talked into surrendering after he fired intermittent shots at officers for two hours, Police Commander John Parkin said. No one was hurt by the gunfire.
