Sonora Takes Over Top Spot in Baseball Poll
Sonora High School replaced El Dorado this week as Orange County’s top-ranked baseball team in the Sportswriters’ Assn. poll. Esperanza, which defeated El Dorado, 8-3, Friday, is No. 2, while the Golden Hawks dropped to No. 3. Irvine, which leads the South Coast League, moved into the Top 10 for the first time and is ranked ninth.
