Thompson, Broomfield and West Are Honored

Stephen Thompson of Crenshaw and Linda Broomfield of Fremont were named All-Central City basketball Players of the Year on The Times’ boys’ and girls’ teams, respectively, Saturday morning at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.

Crenshaw’s Willie West won his second straight Coach of the Year award, and Barbara Fiege of Belmont was named the top girls’ coach.
