Enthusiasm, affection and a wealth of anecdotes offset a game but shaky stab at pronunciation in this frothy audio tour of what remains the world’s most beautiful (and exasperating) city. Birnbaum captures the flavor, if not the diphthongs, of the French, and unobtrusively adds invaluable advice on where to buy what, and more cheaply.
