Local News in Brief : Man Shot in Pacoima Street Dies of Wounds
Aman who was shot several times as he ran across a Pacoima street last week has died from his injuries, police said Thursday.
The victim was identified as Edward R. Smith, 30, address unknown, said coroner’s spokesman Bill Gold.
Smith was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills after the shooting about midnight Saturday, and he died Wednesday, Los Angeles police Lt. Bob Stemples said.
Smith was shot as he ran across Glenoaks Boulevard between Van Nuys Boulevard and Pierce Street, Stemples said.
Police have made no arrests and have disclosed no motives.
