Rob Glisson, a senior left-hander, threw a no-hitter Saturday to lead Chapman College to a 3-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in the first game of a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. doubleheader at Hart Park. The Panthers lost the second game, 5-0.

Glisson, who struck out eight and walked seven, ran into trouble in the eighth inning, when the Toros loaded the bases, and in the ninth, when they had two runners on base. But the former Pacifica High School star struck out two batters in each inning to end both threats.

It was the second no-hitter for Glisson (7-5). He also threw a no-hitter in his sophomore season. The Panthers (7-11, 15-25) scored all three runs in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Mike Cruz, a sacrifice fly by Rob Wolkoys and an error.
