LeFebvre, Jones Pitch Shutouts for Fullerton
SAN DIEGO — Susan LeFebvre and April Jones both pitched three-hit shutouts Wednesday to lead Cal State Fullerton, the No. 1-ranked team in the country, to a doubleheader sweep of United States International University, 3-0 and 4-0, in nonconference college softball action at USIU.
In the first game, Michelle Gromacki had a two-run triple to help LeFebvre (25-4) pick up the victory. In the second game, Rina Foster’s RBI single in the second inning got the Titans going and helped Jones improve her record to 8-0.
Cal State Fullerton is now 44-5 this season. Becky Wolfe had four hits in the doubleheader for USIU (20-18).
