Constitutional Rights and the Tapes of Thomas Metzger
Thomas L. Metzger claims the constitutional right to make tapes at Cal State Fullerton which demand separation of groups by race and culture. He says a university is a bastion of free speech and he cannot be stopped from using public facilities to promote his racism.
United States law provides for anti-discrimination. Nowhere did the founders of our Constitution by any interpretation advocate the racist hatred preached by this man.
Decisions allot illegal aliens, felons in prison and criminals on the street various constitutional rights. This is ridiculous by any standard. But to further allow this hate-preaching individual the “right” to use public facilities goes too far.
The time has come to read the Constitution and to act within the sensible intent. Metzger does not belong in our state college facilities, nor does he have any right to stir up trouble as his beliefs and rantings are bound to do.
