Saying Tiequon Aundray Cox “would kill again without provocation” if given the opportunity, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge today sentenced Cox to death for the 1984 execution-style murders of the mother of former pro football player Kermit Alexander and three other family members.

Judge Roger W. Boren described Cox, 20, as one of the most dangerous killers he had ever encountered, and said the gang member committed the “coldblooded” murders “in all likelihood for some kind of financial gain.” One other man has been sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole in the case and a third is awaiting trial.
