Escondido
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies armed with search warrants descended on a home in Escondido early Friday and arrested a husband and wife on suspicion of possessing and distributing obscene photographs and videotapes.
The arrests of Kenny and Jean Walton, of 1309 Hoover St., are part of a multistate investigation into a ring suspected of distributing pornographic materials, authorities said. Deputies obtained search warrants based on information from the District Attorney’s Office in Wallow County, Ore.
Other states involved in the investigation are Michigan and New Mexico, deputies said.
Kenny Walton, 44, a San Diego Gas & Electric Co. employee, and his wife, Jean Walton, 38, a state Department of Motor Vehicles employee, were arrested without incident. Deputies, who arrived at about 7:35 a.m., searched the house and found what they described as pornographic videotapes and photographs that were intended for distribution.
