Karsatos and Gordon Are Buckeye Captains

COLUMBUS, Ohio —  Quarterback Jim Karsatos and defensive back Sonny Gordon, both seniors, were chosen by their teammates as Ohio State University’s 1986 football co-captains.

Karsatos, from Fullerton, is returning for his second year as a starter after finishing fourth nationally in passing efficiency and setting school records by tossing 19 touchdown passes and completing 61% of his throws last year. He completed 177 of 289 passes for 2,311 yards in his junior season.

Gordon, of Middletown, Ohio, who will enter his third year as a starter in the fall, had 68 tackles, including 38 solos, and intercepted three passes last year.
