Michigan and Syracuse to Meet After 80 Years

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse University Orangemen will meet the University of Michigan on the football field for the first time in 80 years when the two teams resume their series in 1998 with a game at Michigan Stadium.
The two schools are scheduled to play home-and-home games beginning in 1998. The following season will have Michigan traveling to Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome.
Syracuse holds a 5-4-1 edge in the series with the Big 10 conference team. The last game was played in 1918.
