Local News in Brief : Police Identify Man Killed in Stabbing
The victim of a fatal stabbing in Lake View Terrace has been identified as Michael Banning, 28, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
Banning was attacked Saturday at a residence near Foothill Boulevard and Osborne Street at about 3 a.m., Sgt. Albert Miller said. The assailant, apparently his girlfriend, rushed him to Serra Memorial Hospital in Sun Valley after stabbing him during an argument, authorities said. Police were called after Banning died at the hospital.
The girlfriend, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
