Fire Damages Home
A fire of unknown origin Sunday caused $25,000 in damage to the structure and another $5,000 to the contents of a single family house at 27021 Carranza Drive in Mission Viejo, an Orange County Fire Department spokesman said.
The fire apparently began in the garage shortly before 9 a.m. after Larry Dorsa, 58, and his wife had returned home from church, the spokesman said. Dorsa used a garden hose to fight the blaze, which was extinguished in 24 minutes by 18 firefighters. There were no injuries.
