Nakajima Drives to Victory in Japan

SUZUKA, Japan — Driving a March 86J Honda, Satoru Nakajima of Japan Sunday won the second race of the All-Japan F-2 auto race series, ahead of compatriot Kazuyoshi Hoshino.
Nakajima, who started from the pole position and led from the beginning, sped the 30 laps around the 3.7-mile Suzuka International Racing Course in 59 minutes, 27.691 seconds, an average speed of 110.988 m.p.h.
Nakajima earned $29,400 for his 19th career victory.
Driving a March 86J Honda, Hoshino came in second in 59:30.711, followed by Geoff Lees of Britain in 1 hour and 8.170 seconds.
A total of 14 cars started and 14 completed the race.
