LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from May 27, 1986
George E. Rothell, vice chairman of Los Angeles-based First Interstate Bancorp, will become chairman and chief executive of First Interstate Bank of Utah.
Rothell, who has been a First Interstate vice chairman since January, 1985, and a director since 1980, will give up both positions to head the Salt Lake City-based bank. He has been responsible for First Interstate banks in the Rocky Mountain region for the past year and a half.
Leon G. Harmon continues as president of First Interstate Bank of Utah.
